US firm Novoste announced at the European Society of Cardiology meeting in Vienna last week that it will begin selling its Beta-Cath intracoronary radiation therapy device in Europe by the end of this year. This will be the first time anywhere in the world that a coronary radiation treatment for restenosis is available.
