Qiagen has bought the German company, Rosys, which makes robotic handling systems and liquid-handling instrumentation, for approximately $16 million in a stock-for-stock transaction. Rosys was an OEM supplier for five years to Qiagen's BioRobot lines. Qiagen is based in Venlo, Netherlands.
