Executive Summary
Becton Dickinson is launching a range of pen needles for the diabetic market, which the company claims are the thinnest on sale in the US. The company recently won a legal case which prevented rival pen injector manufacturer Novo Nordisk claiming that its needle worked better in Novo's own pen than in Becton Dickinson's (see Clinica No 801, p13). Short pen needles are used for children and those new to insulin injection.
