This article was originally published in Clinica

Executive Summary

Japanese companies Gunze and HoMet will begin developing a new blood glucose test shortly. The portable sensor accumulation-type test will use the conventional glucose sensor method, but is expected to measure accurately blood glucose levels over a wider range by scanning sensor electrode voltage. During the next two and a half years, the two companies hope to use the technology to develop automated continual test systems for medical institutions.
