Diagnostics sales at Sanofi increased 16% on a comparable basis in 1997. Although the French company did not disclose a sales figure for the division, it is part of the healthcare sector, where sales were Fr21.7 billion ($3.4 billion), compared with Fr19.8 billion the previous year. Total sales were Fr25.7 billion, up from Fr23.6 billion in 1996.
