Executive Summary
PhorMax, a developer of low-cost computed radiography systems, is to use Agfa-Gefaert's multiscale image contrast amplification (MUSICA) software for image processing. PhorMax, of Palo Alto, California, will incorporate MUSICA into its new CRView desktop radiography scanning system. The CRView is designed for hospitals, outpatient imaging and surgical centres and physicians' offices. The software provides artefact-free enhancement of detail and contrast. The two companies have also formed a distribution agreement for Agfa's phosphor imaging plates.
