Executive Summary
Interpore Cross International's subsidiary, Cross Medical Products, has been dismissed from most of the pending conspiracy lawsuits dating from 1995 concerning the use of pedicle screws by spinal implant manufacturers. The suits against Cross and other manufacturers alleged injuries from spinal implants. In addition, the companies, together with physicians and members of the spinal implant industry, were accused of being part of a conspiracy to defraud the public and of marketing products without correct regulatory approval. Cross remains a defendant in seven pedicle screw conspiracy cases which have been remanded to federal and state courts.
