Executive Summary

Computerized Thermal Imaging, the company developing a radiation-free breast cancer diagnostic imaging technique based on infrared scanning, has filed the first part of its US approval application for the technology. The Ogden, Utah-based company has submitted the first module of a modular premarket approval application and the company said that preparations for submission of the second module are underway. The CTI system is designed as an adjunctive diagnostic test to mammography and detects tiny temperature changes in breast tissue, which are processed to form an image.
