Executive Summary
Around 150 manufacturers have not yet provided data to the FDA's clearinghouse on the Year 2000 compliance status of their products. A further 300 or so have provided information that is either incomplete or requires clarification, according to the agency, which says it will now have to extend its Y2K information collection activity until the end of February next year. The FDA estimates it will take manufacturers an average of eight hours to collect, prepare and submit the requested information.
