A new screening protocol for pancreatic cancer that combines clinical data with imaging studies could help detect precancerous lesions in people at high risk of developing the disease, according to a US study. The new screening method may improve the prognosis for the disease, which is often so advanced when discovered that most patients die within a year of diagnosis.
