The poorer than average clinical outcomes of diabetics who undergo angioplasty may be the result of an increased tendency for their arteries to become totally blocked, a group of French cardiologists has said. The use of stents and antiplatelet drugs may therefore improve their long-term prospects, they suggest in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology (August).
