Executive Summary

Genetic MicroSystems has received a grant from the US National Cancer Institute to develop a new system for matching organ and bone marrow donors and recipients using its DNA microarray analysis technology. The microarray technology could reduce the cost and time associated with tissue typing and may also be useful for other applications that require simultaneous analysis of moderate to large numbers of DNA sequence variants, said the Woburn, Massachusetts-based company.
