Evidence continues to mount that some HIV-1 infected individuals produce antibodies to the virus that are detectable in certain body fluids but not others. Preliminary results from a study carried out by HIV urine test manufacturer Calypte Biomedical confirms previous studies that found individuals whose urine tested positive for HIV-1 but whose blood did not.
