Quest Diagnostics has launched a service enabling further tests to be performed after the Cytyc ThinPrep Pap test shows inconclusive or atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance. Doctors will have the option to request that such a result will automatically receive Digene's DNA test for high-risk HPV, Hybrid Capture 2. The service will be offered in three of the Teterboro, New Jersey-based company's laboratories.
