Executive Summary
Danish company Radiometer is launching a multi-channel transcutaneous oxygen tension (tcpO2) meter that can simultaneously measure at up to six points around a wound site, giving more accurate diagnosis of limb ischaemia in peripheral vascular disease and chronic wounds. The self calibrating device provides a "quantitative, fast and accurate diagnosis", the company says, which can reduce the likelihood of amputation and ultimately reduce healthcare costs.
