Swedish language law allows few exceptions:

Executive Summary

Sweden's National Board of Health and Welfare has clarified the circumstances under which labelling of CE-marked medical devices used in Sweden can be in languages other than Swedish. An article in Clinica No 862, p 14 said the use of English was possible in some circumstances. Under the medical device regulations, labelling and instructions for use must be in Swedish, regardless of whether the user is a patient or health professional or whether the device is used in hospital or in a home setting. The board may exempt from the general language requirements specific products which would be used where there are "no other options to cope with a specific medical situation in a satisfactory manner".
