Executive Summary
A Swiss company has devised what it claims is the world's first diagnostic method of diagnosing at the site of the accident or in the emergency room whether a head trauma victim has cerebral haemorrhage. The hand-held device measures differential absorption based on tissue density, using near-infrared light beamed through the skull. Exhibiting for the first time at Medica, ODIM has partnered with Medeqco Medical Technologies to market the hand-held diagnostic device, the ODIM SmartScan.
