Executive Summary
By 2003, more than half of the smaller US hospitals (under 150 beds) will be buying their supplies online. In contrast, a smaller proportion - just over one-third - of larger units will be making online purchases, says a recent US trends survey carried out by the Millennium Research Group of Toronto, Canada. The figures remain impressive, although overall predictions on usage (for large and small units) in 2003 have become more conservative, dropping from 64% in the summer to 47% last month.
