Capio enters Finnish market with Mediscan buy

Mediscan, of Helsinki, Finland, is active in magnetic resonance tomography and computer tomography and had turnover of FIM10 million ($1.5 million). "We have prepared ourselves for some time to make this move into Finland and Mediscan is the first of more transactions to come in this market," said Per Batelson, Capio's CEO. Stockholm-based Capio, which has operations in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the UK, Switzerland and Poland, has annual turnover of some SKr6,300 million ($600 million).
