Only three types of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) stents may be sold and used in France. A recent evaluation by the French healthcare products safety agency, AFSSAPS, of these products has demonstrated that Cook's Zenith, Guidant's Ancure and Medtronic's AneuRx, have all met new French requirements. But the remaining products do not yet meet the standards.
