Novametrix Medical Systems says it is in negotiations with a potential acquirer for around $8 a share. Wallingford, Connecticut-based Novametrix, which makes cardiopulmonary monitors and sensors, did not identify the company and will not comment further until a deal is announced or discussions are abandoned. The company had turnover of $24.8 million in the six months to October 28.
