Andro Vlahu-ic has been appointed minister of health for Croatia. Dr Vlahu-ic replaces former minister Ana Stavljenic-Rukavina, who resigned following the death of a cluster of23 dialyser patients, attributed to contaminated Baxter dialysers (see Clinica, No 981, p 8). His previous service was as head of a hospital in Dubrovnik.
