Integra LifeSciences, which designs, makes and sells implants, devices and monitors for neurosurgery and neurotrauma, has bought NeuroSupplies (Waterford, Massachusetts), a distributor of disposables and supplies for neurosurgeons, pulmonologists and other physicians, for $4.3 million. NeuroSupplies had 2000 turnover of $4 million. Plainsboro, New Jersey-based Integra's president and CEO, Stuart Essig, said of the deal: "NeuroSupplies is an established, profitable, fast-growing leader in a market characterised by fragmented competition."
