Executive Summary
In launching its new imaging software in Europe, last month at the Medica 2001 trade fair, Jerusalem-based Biomedicom promised that doctors will gain access to a product that will offer new possibilities in 3D ultrasound imaging. The SONOReal system can be added on to any ultrasound system and enables physicians using a positional probe to add 3D capability and imaging segmentation to routine patient examinations with minimal capital investment. The segmentation enables the removal from the image of obscuring tissue, permitting clear, direct visualisation of organs.
