Executive Summary
Merit Medical Systems, which makes disposable products for use in cardiology and radiology, says its third-quarter results will exceed previous guidance. The South Jordan, Utah company has already exceeded earnings guidance of $0.12 per share in the first two months of the quarter. The third quarter is traditionally its slowest in terms of revenue growth, the company says. "Our business is somewhat resilient to the economic and trying times we are experiencing and continues to be strong," said Fred Lampropoulos, Merit's president. The company also expects a strong fourth quarter, owing to distribution agreements, new product introductions and continued growth in existing product lines.
