Executive Summary
Czech Health Minister Bohumil Fiser has reassured the European medical device industry that the Czech authorities will look into alleged arbitrary reimbursement listing practices for medical incontinence aids. During a meeting on July 17, Michael Baker, director general of the medical device industry association, EUCOMED, told Mr Fiser that companies present on the Czech market had encountered difficulties in obtaining reimbursement by local sickness funds, placing them at a competitive disadvantage. Mr Baker believes there is now "willingness on the Czech side to take early action to resolve current difficulties".
