Use of variable pulse fluoroscopy, beam filtration to control the amount of lower-energy rays that do not contribute to the image, and other techniques could help reduce the incidence of radiation injuries in patients undergoing X-ray guided interventional procedures. This is the conclusion of a study carried out at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and reported in the July issue of the American Journal of Roentgenology.
