Executive Summary
Norway's hospital expansion costs for the period 1999-2010 have risen by NKr10 billion ($1.1 billion) to NKr44 billion. Higher costs associated with three projects, namely expansion of the University hospital of Trondheim, construction of the hospital in Yenstfold and expansion of the Central Hospital of Nordland have forced up the cost from an original figure of NKr33.8 billion, says the department of health and social services.
