Danes to record medical errors in internet register:

Executive Summary
Danish health minister Arne Rolighed plans to develop an internet register of medical errors. Hospitals themselves will be responsible for recording cases in the register, which should highlight problems in medical practice. The minister hopes the new "complaints register", developed with the assistance of the capital's hospitals association (Sygehusfaelleskab), will promote transparency and reduce the number of errors. The UK and US have announced similar reporting schemes (see this issue, page 10).
