Executive Summary
French radiologists are calling on the government to extend immediately its breast cancer screening programme to cover the whole country. Just 32 departements (around a third) offer the service at present, but to encourage wider uptake, the government has agreed to reimburse breast screening in full, and has set the reimbursement fee for specialists at Fr 435 ($61), approximately one-and-a-half times the current rate.
