Executive Summary
Medical libraries in Sweden, Denmark and Norway are to set up a united Scandinavian health portal at a cost of around SKr140,000 ($13,700). The portal aims to improve the patient's understanding of healthcare and to allow doctors to place more information directly in the patient's hands. The portal will offer information in the three Scandinavian languages. Iceland as well as the Swedish-speaking part of Finland have also registered their interest in the project.
