This article was originally published in Clinica

Executive Summary

A Jordanian-Kuwaiti consortium has won a tender to construct the 400-bed Prince Hamzah Hospital in the Tareq district of Amman. The project will cost some JD 60 million ($85 million) and will take over three years to complete, reports the Jordan Times. Construction will take place in two stages, the first to be financed by the Arab fund for economic and social development, at a cost of JD21.5 million. It is hoped that the hospital will later be extended by 100 beds, and will relieve pressure on the Al Bashir hospital in Amman.
