The UK Medical Devices Agency has no misgivings over the denotification last November of United Registrar of Systems Inspectorate Ltd as a notified body (see Clinica No 934, p 3). The MDA's action was a groundbreaking move which came at a time of growing media and government pressure for competent authorities to take more control over notified bodies.
