This article was originally published in Clinica

Executive Summary

Philips Medical Systems and Elekta Oncology Systems have settled all "non-compete" contractual issues for radiation therapy planning systems resulting from the recent acquisition of ADAC Laboratories by Philips. Philips sold its linear accelerator business to Swedish company Elekta in 1997 and signed a non-compete agreement. Elekta has released Philips from this part of the agreement where it concerns ADAC, which will continue to sell its Pinnacle radiation therapy planning systems.
