Germany adopts radio wave technology for snoring:

This article was originally published in Clinica

Executive Summary

Radio frequency therapy is to be used for the first time in Germany to treat snoring and patients who have breathing difficulties. Treatment will be available at the private Medica clinic in Mulheim in the state of North Rhine Westphalia. The therapy was developed in the US and is considered to be less stressful than more usual procedures, where operations are performed using a scalpel or laser surgery. Radio waves are used to remove tissue on the roof of the mouth, which is often the cause of snoring. The therapy lasts about 10 minutes after which the patient is free to return home.
