Executive Summary
The national Swedish association which supports the implantation of cochlear implants in hearing impaired children (Barnplantorna) (see Clinica No 944, p 7) and the association for people with rare disabilities are among five new organisations to receive government funding. Each association will receive a one-off grant of SKr100,000 ($10,500) to help them become established. The total government fund for disabled organisations is SKr 157 million.
