The Sulmaniya Medical Complex in Bahrain has received equipment for the electro-physiological testing of eyes valued at some BD16,000 ($42,450). The equipment, purchased by the ministry of health for the hospital's eye clinic, will be used to improve diagnosis of diseases of the retina and optic disc. The ministry is particularly keen to improve the diagnosis of childhood diseases, such as retinal dystrophy.
