Biosense Webster has launched for sale in the US what it claims is the first FDA-cleared dual sensor 8mm tip ablation catheter for treating atrial flutter (AF). The Navistar DS catheter, which showed clinical efficacy in the acute and six-month follow-up settings of 98.8% and 96.7%, provides benefits over conventional 4mm catheters, says the firm.
