Executive Summary
Intuitive Surgical's joint litigation with International Business Machines (IBM) has entered summary judgement of literal infringement against Computer Motion. The Delaware district court concluded Computer's Aesop and Zeus products literally infringed Intuitive's 6,201,984 patent on voice-controlled surgical robots. The court also found that Computer's Hermes product, when used with either of the two products, literally infringed the patent.
