Executive Summary
The European medical device industry association, Eucomed, is holding a meeting on August 20 to discuss the industry response to the European Commission's web-based consultation on the need for a community legal framework on human tissue engineered products. The industry already has its own position paper on this subject, but is likely to have to shift its position to take into account pressures and influences from the pharmaceutical sector.
