This year's Hospitalar healthcare trade fair, which took place in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on June 4-7 2002 is being hailed as a great success. The event generated business worth R$2.7bn (US$940m), equivalent to a quarter of the annual sales of Brazil's medical equipment and hospital supplies industry, according to Canning House, the London-based promoters of trade with Latin America.
