Executive Summary
Boston Life Sciences' nerve growth factor Inosine, for treating stroke, can induce nerve fibre growth, stimulate brain rewiring and improve motor functions, an animal study has shown. The findings were published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (June 25). Inosine, which so far, appears to have no apparent side effects in animals, has potential as a novel nerve regeneration approach to treatment of stroke and other types of brain injuries, said the Boston, Massachusetts firm.
