Fossa Medical, which has developed the Stone Sweeper device for the quick and easy removal of kidney stones, has raised an undisclosed amount in a private financing round. The company will use the funds to get FDA approval - the Stone Sweeper is currently under review - and commercialise its product. Fossa expects the product to be available in the fourth quarter of 2002.
