Executive Summary
The German medical device industry association, BVMed, is recasting its role in the health service with a new image, slogan and logo and focus. Last week in Berlin, BVMed director Joachim Schmitt presented the association's new portfolio before 200 guests. BVMed will now focus on three key messages: an all-embracing approach to healthcare; innovation; and cost-efficiency. With its new slogan "Enhancing Healthcare", it hopes to promote the image of its member companies, whilst inviting other healthcare players to co-operate in shaping the future of the health service.
