Scientists find testicular cancer gene:

Executive Summary
US scientists have identified what they claim is the first gene known to be highly correlated to testicular cancer, the most common form of cancer in Caucasian men aged 15 to 45 years. The study shows that 63% of men who inherit the overactive form of the hiwi gene could develop seminoma, a testicular cancer that originates from reproductive cells. The research could lead to genetic testing for predicting seminoma and also to new treatments, say the Duke University Medical Center researchers, whose findings appear in Oncogene (June 6).
