Executive Summary
In-stent restenosis, the re-clogging of blood vessels, cannot always be successfully treated in the long-term by either repeat stenting or delivering radiation to the arteries, according to one study published last week. In contrast, however, a separate study found that artery radiation following angioplasty significantly reduced patients' risk of developing restenosis for up to five years.
