Executive Summary
Clinical analyses and imaging are among the sectors listed as being responsible for the Belgian healthcare 2001 budget deficit. Spending on clinical analyses totalled BFr 2,705.6 million ($61.6 million), and on medical imaging, BFr 2,656.8 million. The two sectors will now have to redress this balance and suffer a cut in the amount the health insurance paid per procedure for 12 months, beginning on July 1 2002.
