Executive Summary
Nidek has received US FDA 510(k) clearance for its NM-1000 digital non-mydriatic fundus camera for capturing images of the retina and the anterior segment of the eye. The device provides high-resolution Mega pixel 45degrees images to help doctors diagnose retinal and anterior segment conditions, says the Fremont, California, firm. The 6.4 inch colour LCD display and control panel allow ease of operation for image capture, editing and transmission of image data to the removable ATA flash card.
