Trial data have shown that Given Imaging's swallowable "video pill" can detect up to 80% of small bowel abnormalities, a significantly greater percentage than found using traditional methods, according to the company. The data also revealed that the device, called the M2A capsule endoscope, could be useful for diagnosing more conditions.
