US judge Kathleen O'Malley has extended the injunction on individual cases relating to Sulzer Medica's faulty hip and knee implants to March 15. This is to allow the involved parties to finalise the wording of the settlement agreement. The $1 billion settlement plan was put forward in February (see Clinica No 995, p 1).
